In our reading group, our learning has focused on Kiwi innovators and inventors.
I chose to learn about medical honey electric fence daylight savings and rat traps.
The most interesting thing that I found out was that the pest traps can kill more than one and my dad now has one.
The invention that I think is most important is the electric fence
because it can move around and if the cows try to get out they will get a zap.
Over the 2 weeks our class rimu did a maths challenge in the morning. Some of the challenges were hockey diving weight lifting and soccer. My favourite one was weight lifting because all you had to do was hold the milk bottle straight in the air and there will be a stop watch going. My time was 3 minutes and 20 seconds. The one I didn't like was hockey because the goal was so small. You had 1 minute to get as many goals as you could. The easiest one was soccer because you had to flick it with your fingers and try to flick it as far as you can. In soccer you had to cut out a mini soccer player and you had to cut out little finger holes for your fingers. My one broke so I flicked it with my fingers. The hardest one was diving because you had to try and get it down to the bottom but my person was so bad at diving. The clip fell off straight away but I still came second. In diving you had to make the person out of paper and put a clip on it.
The day before the holidays me and my family drove all the way to Hamilton. We went to a swimming comp there. I only came second I got a double Dee Que that means disqualified. I got disqualified in 50 meters back stroke. I was so annoyed I did not want to do the next race but my mum gave me the courage to do it.
After the swimming comp we cruised to the mountain. We went skiing for one day. It was the perfect day for skiing my dad even made a post on the face book page about the lovely weather. I went on the big gondola 20 times my hands were so numb I could not feel my hot chocolate. I went back outside and there were less people there now. Me and my brother Noah went one more time on the gondola.
The next day we walked a 5 hour walk then we went to the inside rock climbing. After that we went out for dinner. The diner was the best. The next day we woke up early and packed all our stuff and hopped in the car. We drove all the way home and it was a bumpy trip because there were a lot of potholes on the road.

Today I have been making a Mothers Day poem. The easiest part was the writing, the hardest part was the background. All the mums came to our class on Friday. The best part was making my mum smile. The not so fun part was watching mum eat a muffin in front of me.

The most trickiest thing about posting on my blog is remembering how to post on to my blog.
The eases thing is making the slide.

Today we were learning how to use art coloring book the bottom one is mine and the top one is the original one. I had a lot of fun doing this activity. It really helped me with my skills.
We are learning about phishing and scams.
Scams are when someone sends you a email and tries to trick you to give them your private information.

We go to swim for life on Monday we get their on a bus and we go to enterprise pool.
At swim for life we learn how to swim we go their because we are trying to keep safe .
we have six groups in swimming and we all go at separate times I am in the sixth groups.
When we first get their group one and two go and get changed Then group three and four get changed.
The life jackets are their to help us float and to help us stay up above the water. I like doing the domino's
